Lakes and Dams

The MIFSG has been stocking fingerlings into Lake Moondarra, East Leichhardt, Lake Julius and Lake Corella in the Mount Isa region since 1987.

All fish stocking activity is carried out under the guidelines of the Queensland Department of Primary Industries (DPI). Only fish species which belong to the Gulf catchment of which our region forms a part, can be used in our fish stocking program. (Check article on Translocation)
