Lakes and Dams

Lake Corella

Lake Corella was built to supply water to the township of the now closed Mary Kathleen Uranium Mine. The lake is situated beside the Barkly Highway, approximately half way between Mount Isa and Cloncurry .

The dam is approximately 150 ha (when full).

Clem Walton park is a popular picnic spot with locals.

Fish were stocked for the first time in this dam when sooty grunter fingerlings were released on June 24th, 2000.
