Hope everyone has have been well and catching bags of fish since we spoke last week. Like George has mentioned before we would like use this Column as an information service. So if anyone has any questions about fishing in our local are that you would like answered. Drop us a line and we will do our best to give you the most up to date answers.
For example we have been asked how to release big Barra using Fish Grips. As it has come to our attention that some people are still releasing Barra with the Grips still attached to them. We cannot mention anyone’s names that was involved with this release because legal reasons. But as luck has it a local fishing identity (let’s call him Trevor) may be able to go over the catch and release of a Barra with out any lose of equipment.
Another question that has been asked is why is it that it takes about one and a half hours for a Musso to drive from the Isa to Lake Julius. But it may have taken up to five Toyotas about three and half hours to do the same trip (Can not wait for the logical explanation for that one).
We are also looking forward to seeing some great recipes for cooking fish (Barra). Then all that I will need to do is get someone to show me how to catch a Barra...
This leads me into my favourite subject. fishing with my wife (when she isn’t out fishing me, should have seen the huge trophy she won at the Mini comp we had in March just gone). Also fishing with our two daughters that enjoy fishing (as long they are catching fish every 2 minutes).
I will talk more about this at a later date.
Cheers for now
