OCTOBER IN THE ISA
Not talking about the Oktoberfest, although October is the month we’re in.
A certain amount of excitement was gathering on the wind, not felt by most people but definitely by fanatical fishermen.
For at the end of the month Lake Moondarra would be the place, to take the kids, set up camp, put the line in, and slow down the pace.
Cause you’ll need to have a line in if you want to be in for a chance, to land the $25,000 Barra, bet that would make you dance.
Not just fishing, there’s family entertainment too, yabby races, fish displays, exhibitions bar and food.
You could catch a Longtom, Sooty Grunter and yes, Barra too, one thing about the Isa you’re guaranteed a salubrious view.
For as the sun sets on the hills the reds highlight the blues. No sunset is the same like the famous Uluru.
So if you want to catch a big Barra under a starlit sky one night, head to the Isa last weekend of October and ask the Fish Stocking Group, they’ll steer you right.
